Our client is an award-winning, venture-backed AgriTech business using technology to improve livestock care and help farmers make better day-to-day decisions.
They are seeking their first dedicated Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of cloud infrastructure, DevOps tooling, security, observability and internal IT.
This is a high-ownership, greenfield opportunity for someone who enjoys building scalable foundations, introducing automation and establishing effective infrastructure standards within a growing technology business.

Requirements
You will be an experienced and highly proactive DevOps, Site Reliability, Platform or Infrastructure Engineer who can take ownership of a greenfield environment with minimal direction. You will bring:
• 5+ years’ experience in DevOps, SRE, platform or infrastructure engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Compute Engine, Cloud Run, IAM, Artifact Registry and networking
• Experience introducing infrastructure as code, ideally using Terraform
• Strong experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines, using GitHub Actions or similar
• A solid understanding of cloud security and IAM, including least-privilege access, secrets management and access reviews
• Experience with monitoring and observability, including metrics, logging and alerting
• Confidence supporting internal IT, including laptop provisioning, access management, onboarding and day-to-day user support
• Strong scripting and automation skills, ideally using Python
• A self-starting, ownership-led approach suited to a startup or small engineering team
• Strong technical English, with the ability to explain systems, discuss trade-offs and defend technical decisions
Experience with BigQuery, dbt, Prefect, SentinelOne, SOC 2 readiness or formal compliance processes would be advantageous.
The technology environment includes GCP, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Terraform, SentinelOne, Python, SQL, dbt, Prefect, Flutter, Next.js and React.
Applicants must:
• Be currently based in Mexico and have a Mexican telephone number
• Be comfortable working U.S. Central Time
• Currently hold, or previously have held and be able to renew, a U.S. B-1/B-2 visitor visa
• Be able to travel to Iowa, for an onboarding week and attend approximately two additional team weeks each year

Role & Responsibilities
As the Senior DevOps Engineer, you will own and develop the infrastructure, tooling, security and internal technology foundations supporting the wider business. Your responsibilities will include:
• Owning identity and access management across GCP and SaaS platforms, including IAM roles, Google Groups and least-privilege access
• Leading the migration from manually managed cloud resources to Terraform-based infrastructure as code
• Designing and implementing GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test and deployment
• Strengthening cloud security through secrets management, access reviews and resource hardening
• Building monitoring and observability across metrics, logs and alerts
• Provisioning laptops, software and access for new Engineering, Customer Success and Sales employees
• Managing internal IT onboarding and day-to-day technical support
• Partnering with Engineering and the CTO to define infrastructure standards and reduce manual operational work
• Automating recurring processes and improving developer productivity
• Optimising cloud expenditure through right-sizing, resource clean-up, budgets and cost alerts
• Helping establish scalable operational, security and compliance foundations as the business grows
