Requirements

We are looking for a procurement professional with experience in the data centre sector and a strong understanding of local supplier markets in Thailand.
Essential requirements:
• Thai national or someone with the legal right to work in Thailand long term
• Based in Thailand and familiar with the local business environment, supply chain landscape and relevant regulations
• 3+ years’ procurement experience within the data centre industry
• Experience purchasing data centre prefabricated products, core equipment and raw materials
• Strong knowledge of procurement across items such as UPS, power distribution equipment, precision cooling systems, cables and PCB boards
• Previous experience managing the full procurement lifecycle, including planning, enquiry, comparison, negotiation, contracting and supplier performance follow-up
• Proven ability in supplier sourcing, development, evaluation and negotiation
• Fluent Thai and good Chinese language skills for day-to-day business communication
• English language skills would be advantageous, particularly for liaison with international suppliers
• Strong cost control awareness, risk management capability and problem-solving skills
• Good communication, coordination and execution skills, with a high level of personal responsibility
Preferred background:
• Experience in EPC project procurement
• Experience with prefabricated module procurement in the data centre industry
• Existing knowledge of or relationships within the Thailand data centre supply chain
• Previous procurement experience within a multinational organisation
• Exposure to the Southeast Asian data centre market
• Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Electromechanical Engineering, Materials Science or a related field
• Familiarity with SAP, SRM or other procurement systems

Role & Responsibilities

As Procurement Specialist, you will take responsibility for the end-to-end procurement of materials and equipment required for data centre projects in Thailand.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing the full procurement process for data centre-related materials and equipment
• Sourcing and purchasing prefabricated modules, core equipment and engineering support materials
• Developing and maintaining a strong network of qualified local suppliers in Thailand
• Building, updating and managing the supplier database
• Conducting supplier performance reviews and helping to improve the overall supply chain model
• Working closely with R&D, manufacturing and local project teams to understand procurement requirements and delivery timelines
• Ensuring purchased materials are delivered on time, to the required quality standard and in the correct quantity
• Supporting project delivery by resolving supply, delivery and quality issues
• Monitoring market pricing and implementing strategies to achieve cost savings
• Managing procurement risk, including price fluctuation, delays and quality issues
• Ensuring compliance with internal procurement procedures and local Thai laws and regulations
• Maintaining accurate procurement records, reporting and data analysis
• Monitoring industry policy, supply chain activity and technology trends across Thailand and Southeast Asia
• Supporting wider local procurement activity connected to the company’s regional growth plans
