Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in grants and tenders across Europe, ideally gained within a deep-tech, scientific, research-led, university, or advanced R&D environment.
Essential Requirements
• Proven hands-on experience in submitting grant applications and responding to tenders
• Strong experience with European public funding frameworks and regulated submission processes
• Demonstrable experience identifying, analysing and pursuing funding opportunities across Europe
• Ability to understand and work with technical and scientific subject matter
• Excellent English writing, editing and communication skills
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, stakeholders and submission requirements
• High attention to detail, with a rigorous approach to accuracy, compliance and documentation
• Experience working cross-functionally with technical teams, internal stakeholders and external partners
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines
Desirable
• Experience within a deep-tech, advanced R&D, or innovation-led business
• Familiarity with quantum technologies would be a strong advantage
• Scientific academic background, preferably a BSc in Physics or a related field
• Experience working with international partners, consortia, universities, or public-sector bodies
• Experience of preparing submissions for programmes such as Horizon Europe, bilateral initiatives, and country-specific European tenders

Role & Responsibilities

As Grants & Tenders Researcher - EMEA, you will take ownership of identifying, evaluating and coordinating public funding and tender opportunities across Europe. This is a practical, delivery-focused role requiring strong research capability, proposal-writing expertise, and the confidence to work closely with technical and commercial stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Identifying and assessing relevant grants, tenders and public funding opportunities across Europe
• Monitoring programmes such as Horizon Europe, bilateral initiatives, and national or local European funding calls
• Analysing call requirements, eligibility criteria, evaluation frameworks and submission timelines
• Leading the end-to-end preparation and submission of grants and tenders
• Coordinating the development of technical content, written responses and supporting documentation
• Managing the administrative and formal aspects of submissions to ensure full compliance and completeness
• Working closely with internal stakeholders including technical, R&D, engineering and leadership teams
• Collaborating with external partners, consortia members and relevant public or institutional bodies
• Supporting the scoping and shaping of potential funding partnerships and financing programmes
• Ensuring all proposals are submitted to a consistently high standard in terms of quality, clarity and accuracy
• Managing competing priorities and submission logistics under tight deadlines
